Main entrance
- Gradel Quad is on Mansfield Road and is around 225m from the main college site.
- There is a Lodge at the entrance which is staffed between 8pm and 8pm. If you require assistance after this time please contact the Lodge on the main college site (in person or on 01865 279500.
- This entrance is step free.
- There is a secure entrance gate. There is a manual gate with a clear width of 129cm. The gate is heavy.
- The card reader and push to exit button are both 108cm high.
- Once through the gate, there is level access around the quad. Path surfaces are resin bound gravel.
Secondary entrance
- The secondary entrance is on Savile Road.
- This entrance is step free.
- There is a manual gate with a clear width of 90cm. The gate is light.
- The exit push and card reader are between 95 cm and 104 cm.

Main Quad (Ground Floor)

Hall Foyer

There are five accessible bedrooms with en suite bathrooms in Gradel Quad.
Access
- There is step free access to the building.
- The building and lobby door are powered; they have a clear width of 100cm.

- There is a passenger lift and stairs to the upper floors.
Bedroom
- The bedroom doors have a clear width of 85cm.
- Doors are secure with a card reader built into the door handle - the card reader is 96cm high.
- The underside of desks are 70cm high, and the surfaces are 73cm high
- The furniture can be arranged as needed; the shelving is at a variety of heights.
- The wardrobe rail is 119 cm high.
- There is an emergency alarm and reset button near the bed.
- There is space to manoeuvre a wheelchair.

- All the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom
- The bathrooms have a toilet, sink, shower and shower seat – all have support rails and emergency alarms

- There are accessible kitchens on the ground and second floors shared with other students.

- There are knee recesses in both kitchens.
- There is no visual contrast between the cupboard doors and the recesses for opening them.
